Awhile ago, I made a wikidata link of the chemical constituents of cannabis sativa:
And I made a description edit on the wikipedia page in hopes some chemists can come find it and find all the data they need to determine what is inside.
However, I have realized not many people read the Cannabis Sativa page funny enough. It’s dawning on me that it’s a lack of visibility and interaction to the user because they need someone to chat too about the chemicals inside the list. Then comes a long Hugging Face, a community AI playground for LLM models and automatic deployment of chat assistants.
I decided to give this a shot over my Cannabis data and release a chatbot so people can communicate more easily and fetch information readily. Assistants are created on the Hugging Chat Assistants that users can freely talk too or subscribe.
I created a new Cannabis Assistant
And then the input the assistant can take is a raw github README file.
I made a README table index of the chemicals inside cannabis to their correlated SMILES:
And passed that to the assistant. The assistant then can search through that list giving the user domain specific information.
I then deployed the bot and made it active. Which you can reach at the following link:
When chatting to the assistant you can prompt it with a simple question
What are the esters and lactones inside of cannabis sativa?
And the answers is pretty comprehensive:
Hope this makes making more assistants fun for all of us.
Happy Cheminformatics!
