I bought my first watch. It’s a bit new for me because I always thought it was a big pretentious or maybe that is what you are supposed to like as a male.
This was a bit tricky to navigate as a newcomer. I looked through store after store until I found this bright green beauty on display in an eclectic vintage store.
The owner of the store told me about the brand zodiac. They were military diver watches that could withstand depths of 60 meters hence its wide metallic plate and the depth gage surrounding the outer later. They eventually were made into a commercial product selling to consumers. The sea green was calming, gentle, and it also stood out. I liked how it looked on me and I was chatting to the owner. I could feel it was a natural piece.

The dragon kind of gave an edge to it and also I’m currently watching House of Dragons so that just added to the desire.
Walking around the city, I felt somehow more confident. Like there was something I chose that I think made me look good and it felt like an extension of my personality. In a weird way I was drawing more attention to my hands and forearms which made me feel masculine. I wanted people to look there and show off what I think is the most attractive part of my body.
With my phone, whenever I checked the time there was always a notification. It often had me distracted. Somehow I feel more present in my situations. I didn’t realize this about myself and buying this watch helped me understand that.
